While Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton were spotted together on Christmas Day, on Wednesday they made their first official royal engagement together with Harry and Will at the Royal Foundation Forum.

The two women appeared cozy as they discussed the future ambitions of the foundation — but what does their body language say? Body language expert Judi James opened up to Cosmopolitan U.K. after analyzing their on-stage interactions.

Here are a few observations she made from their interactions at Wednesday’s Royal Foundation Forum:

  1. Meghan and Kate have a “strong family vibe.”

  2. They have a mutual respect for each other (As James noted: “There seemed to be a ‘team member’ respect for one another but they also seemed to steer clear of any more overt displays of sisterly friendship.)

  3. They have two different personalities (Kate has a calmer, simpler approach, while Meghan’s approach is “hit-the-ground-running”)

  4. They have shared passions (including Harry’s humour)
