A body positive influencer has recreated a number of Meghan Markle’s looks from her recent royal tour of South Africa, to show the styles work for “women of all sizes”.
Katie Sturino, founder of size-inclusive blog The 12ish Style and creator of anti-chafing range Megababe Beauty, channelled the Duchess of Sussex’s looks as part of a series on her Instagram page, which she calls #Supersizethelook.
The series involves Sturino, who is also the author of ‘ToastHampton: How to Summer in Style’, recreating the looks of a famous person to show it can work on a different body type.
In the photoshoot, which was created in collaboration with People website, and later shared on Sturino’s Instagram page, she wears Duchess Meghan’s trademark trench dress from Banana Republic; and in the latter two images she wears lookalike versions of her her casual denim jacket and white shirt combination and her sell-out black Everlane jumpsuit.
Her followers are loving the photoshoot, with one person writing on Instagram: “You rock all the outfits!! We need you to show us that anyone can and should wear different pieces and to not get hung up on the size we wear. Thank you.”
Another person wrote: “Yay you! It’s fabulous that you’re doing this! You’re inspiring.”
Sturino has also recreated looks worn by the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge, Chrissy Teigen, Katie Holmes, Kendall Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Karlie Kloss and Diane Keaton, to name just a few, sharing with the hashtag #SuperSizeTheLook.
