On Thursday morning the Duchess of Sussex was announced as the patron of four organisations. Two passed on by the Queen and two additional charities, one of which was Smart Works.

Mere hours after the Kensington Palace announcement, the pregnant duchess visited the London HQ, which helps unemployed and vulnerable women regain skills and confidence.

Opting for a classic and casual ensemble, Meghan sported a black t-shirt midi dress by American maternity brand Hatch and wrapped up in a on-trend trench coat by Oscar de le Renta. The sand coloured coat with an elegant swinging silhouette worth a hefty £2,493.

Her outfit was understated, but Meghan made sure to add several eye-popping accessories.

First to catch our eye was a £315 statement earring by Kimai. The unusual item featured three 18k gold eyes dangling from a diamond bar, the gems of which had been lab-grown in order to be sustainable.

The most unexpected item was Meghan's choice of cow print heels featuring PVC detail.

Thought to be by Gianvito Rossi, the bold animal print shoes are definitely the duchess's most bold footwear to date. In fact, arguably the biggest sartorial shoe statement a member of the royal family has ever made.

Finally, she went for a vintage-inspired vanity box tote by Victoria Beckham, a growing favourite of the 37-year-old, after she wore the British designer head-to-toe on Christmas Day.
