Meghan Markle's Best Friend Jessica Mulroney Lands In Australia Following Pregnancy Announcement

Update 17 October: Meghan Markle's and her BFF Jessica Mulroney are coincidentally in Sydney, Australia at the same time. But, according to royal insiders, the stylist won't be joining the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their royal tour, contrary to popular belief.

A source tells BAZAAR.com that Jessica and her husband Ben are on a trip for their 10th anniversary and that Ben, who is a television host, will cover the upcoming Invictus Games for Canadian television network CTV. The tournament starts on 20 October.

'They’d been planning this trip for a while and, while Jessica has helped Meghan with some style choices for her tour wardrobe, she’s not here in any sort of official capacity and Meghan has not flown her out here,' the source says.

Of course, we have no doubt the friends will meet up several times over the next few weeks to celebrate the royal's pregnancy news.

Meghan Markle's best friend has arrived in Australia, hours after the Duchess of Sussex announced that she is expecting her first child. And, we have a feeling there'll be many tears, bottles of champagne (oh go on, Megs can have a sip), and hugs in store for the royal couple.

Earlier this morning, Mulroney - who is rumoured to be Meghan's personal stylist - confirmed that she and her husband Ben had arrived 'Down Under' to accompany the expecting parents on their 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji.

Posting a picture from their car on her Instagram Stories, the mother-of-three captioned the snap: '24 hours later we made it to beautiful [Australia]," adding: "Only 300 emails or so to catch up on.'

HELLO! reports Meghan's close friends will join the royals in an 'unofficial' capacity during their trip and will be paying their own expenses.

It is unknown whether the friends brought their children, twins Brian and John, eight, and five-year-old Ivy, on the trip, five months after they formed part of Meghan's bridal party on her wedding day.

With a jam-packed schedule including multiple outfit changes several times a day, it's no surprise the 37-year-old royal has called on her BFF and stylist to join her on the trip. After all, who better to give the mum-to-be help with picking out suitable maternity clothes for her first official royal tour?

Earlier this year, Jessica helped Meghan pick out the stunning Nonie pink trench coat the royal wore for a visit to the Southbank Centre, in London.

The Canadian brand thanked the stylist on Instagram, writing: 'What an amazing day for us! The stunning Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle in our Sleeveless Trench dress... thank you @jessicamulroney.'

The Mulroney family have been close friends of Meghan's for several years following the star's move to Toronto to film her former television series Suits.

The pair are widely believed to have quickly bonded over a shared love of yoga, fashion, and travel and regally shared their trips abroad together to the likes of Greece and Italy on Meghan' now defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig.

When news of Meghan and Harry's relationship broke in 2016, the royal couple reportedly hid from the media's spotlight by staying at the Mulroneys' in Canada for several days.

We couldn't think of a better pair to join the royal couple in Australia to celebrate their exciting news!
