'The Meghan effect is very positive', says PR expert

Charities have been "floored" by an influx of donations, after royal fans began a social media fundraiser in honour of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's forthcoming baby.

Supporters have been using the hashtag #GlobalSussexBabyShower to spread the word on social media.

Organisations including CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education), animal charity Mayhew and children's charity WellChild have all seen an increase in the amount of donations since Mother's Day. These are all charities, which are closely linked to Harry and Meghan's work.
