Shoppers say it “has a beautiful finish, and lasts all day.”
If I’m being honest, my interest in award shows primarily revolves around the fashion and makeup behind each celeb’s look. I can read the list of winners and find a clip of any can’t-miss musical performances later. But my eyes are glued to the screen when the celebrities start showing up on the red carpet. And at this year’s MTV VMAs, it was Megan Thee Stallion who truly stole the show. While her corset dress is beautiful, I was focused on her smooth and poreless complexion — which was apparently the result of an $11 foundation.
Megan Thee Stallion is a spokesperson for Revlon, so it’s not surprising that she wore a full face of the brand’s makeup for her big night performing alongside Cardi B. But I am surprised that her (or anyone’s) complexion looked that good and that Revlon Illuminance Skin-Caring Liquid Foundation, a product cheaper than my lunch, is to thank.

Revlon’s Illuminance Skin-Caring Foundation is one of its newer complexion products (it was launched in January 2023). Suitable for the times, it’s a makeup product with skincare ingredients in it. Squalane controls oil production, moisturizes, and softens skin, and hyaluronic acid plumps and retains moisture. It has buildable coverage and is available in 28 shades, all of which are on sale on Amazon.
Besides the proof of the pudding (Megan’s face), the Revlon foundation has already racked up hundreds of five-star ratings. A 65-year-old shopper with “dry” skin said, “[Illuminance Skin-Caring Foundation] provides moisture, does not settle into fine lines, goes on sheer but is buildable, has a beautiful finish, and lasts all day.” Another shopper said that, true to its name, it makes skin “smoother and more luminous.”
Head to Amazon to shop the Megan Thee Stallion-used Revlon Illuminance Skin-Caring Liquid Foundation while it’s on sale for just $11.
