Meet England's new WAGs... who will be the ones to watch during the World Cup in Russia?

We're a month away from the World Cup, and England manager Gareth Southgate has selected the squad he will be taking with him to Russia.

With big hitters like Wayne Rooney now departed, three-quarters of the team are fresh faces. And they bring with them a new line-up of WAGs.

Move over Coleen, this band of models, Instagrammers and celebrity wannabes are readying themselves to step into your shoes. Joining Rebekah Vardy and Katie Goodland, these novice WAGs will, right about now, be packing their bags to join the boys in Moscow next month. 

Meet the next generation of WAGs...  

Megan Davison 

She's been described as an "Instagram junkie", but its her love of the social network that makes Megan Davison the "WAG to watch". The university graduate is Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford's childhood sweetheart (the pair have been dating since she was 14). 

Already the WAG billed as "England's no.1 in Russia", Davison loves to document her exotic holidays with Pickford, platinum-blonde looks and drinks with the girls on Instagram, where she has 11,800 followers.

However, following his call-up to the England squad this week, she made her account private. Perhaps she won't love the attention paid to WAGs. 

Annie Kilner 

Annie Kilner has been dating Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker since 2011. Like Mae, Kilner is also a model and has worked with Gucci, Boots and Tesco. The pair, who both hail from Sheffield, have a two-year-old son together.

Kilner's biggest complaint? Her partner has a trainer fetish, owning 150 pairs, and cleans obsessively.   

Ruby Mae 

Ruby Mae has been dating midfielder Dele Alli, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur, for two years. The lingerie model boasts a high-profile career of her own, having starred in shoots for Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and Hidden Fashion. The 23-year-old has already mastered a trademark sultry pout to rival Victoria Beckham's, which she regularly flashes to her 51,000 Instagram followers.  

Kaya Jones

Not to be confused with the Pussycat Dolls singer of the same name, Kaya Jones, née Hall, is the wife of Manchester United defender Phil Jones.

The couple, who married in June 2017, announced they were expecting their first child at the end of last summer. By our calculations, the baby is due any day now, as Kaya's tweet at the beginning of the month showed.

Will she even make it out to Russia? 

Millie Savage

Millie Savage hasn't had an easy ride with her partner, Manchester City's John Stones: in 2016, he reportedly had a two-month affair. To make up for it, Stones had Savage's face tattooed on his arm, making it certain she will stick around as long as he does, in one form or another. He also had her name embroidered onto his boots.

Stones also recently bought a £3.5 million home in Cheshire, which has an indoor swimming pool, gym - and a lake. 

Annabel Peyton

Stoke City goalie Jack Butland knew he wanted to be with Annabel Peyton when he first laid eyes on her in 2016, during a mid-season break in Dubai: the goalie dumped his childhood sweetheart of nine years to be with her. Peyton has the added perk of being a flight attendant with Emirates. Free first class to Moscow, anyone?  

Fern Hawkins

Fern Hawkins has been in a relationship with Leicester City defender Harry Maguire since 2011. Her social network of choice, in addition to Instagram, is Twitter, where she loves to share her support for Maguire and the team, as well as the occasional holiday snap. Cosmo in Tenerife in April? Great way to end the season. 

Nicky Pike

Nicky Pike eventually married her childhood sweetheart Ashley Young, who plays as a winger for Manchester United, in 2015. The couple, who have two children together, had attempted a wedding once before. It was 2011 and they had spent £200,000 on their big day... but with two days to go, Young contacted guests to tell them not to show up.

What really happened remains a mystery to this day. Let's hope Young doesn't pull a similar trick at the World Cup.
