2021 Giants Live World Tour Events

Nicol Stones

  • Farmer's carry for distance

  • One stone weighs 114kg (251lbs) and another 138kg (304lbs)

  • Current record: 19.5m, Luke Stoltman (UK)

Log Lift for Reps

  • 150kg (330.7-pound) log

  • "One of the unique challenges of the Log Press is that, unlike a barbell the logs are often slightly unbalanced due to the natural growth of the log and balancing that weight is crucial" the event information describes.

Axle Deadlift for Reps

  • "What makes this particular lift so dificult is the sheer diameter of the bar they are lifting. Couple that with a bar that doesn't flex, it really is an extreme test of strength and endurance," the event information describes.

Car Walk

  • "The Car Walk is a test of balance, agility and, of course, strength," says a Giants Live description of the Car Walk. "Athletes must pick up a 1000lbs VW Beetle using the frame inside resting on their shoulders, and carry it the length of the course. Races are usually run 2 at a time with the fastest time taken to complete the course deciding the winner."

  • "Athletes must combine both immense leg power to lift the car off the ground, insane upper body strength to steady the car with their arms to avoid touching the tyres on the floor and colossal amounts of core strength, balance and control to keep their body steady when walking with the equivalent of 5 fully grown men on their shoulders."

Atlas Stones

  • "If there's one event that has always defined the sport of Strongman, it's the Atlas Stones," reads the event description.

  • "The aim is a simple one: lift your 5 stones up onto the platform faster than your competitor. Each stone is heavier than the last, usually ranging from 120kg right up to 200kg. Lifting 200kg might be nothing to most of our athletes, but after lifting a combined weight of 600kg just seconds earlier, that last stone becomes the heaviest object in the universe."
