The season 2 follow-up to The Haunting of Hill House ~The Haunting of Bly Manor~ is about to drop on Netflix just in time for Halloween, and we couldn't be more excited. An anthology series with no connection to the first season, The Haunting of Bly Manor is inspired by the 1898 Henry James horror novella The Turn of the Screw. Set in 1980s England, it tells the story of a nanny named Dani Clayton (Victoria Pedretti) who is hired by Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew at Bly Manor. However, as most ghost stories go, before long she starts to see strange figures around the property, and chilling "centuries old secrets of love and loss come to light".
"At Bly Manor, dead doesn’t mean gone," concludes the Netflix synopsis. Sound scary? If you thought The Haunting of Hill House kept you up at night, creator Mike Flanagan said The Haunting of Bly Manor is going to be even spookier. "It's scarier," he told Entertainment Weekly. "It's a lot more frightening, just on a visceral level."
For his second Netflix outing, Flanagan has brought back a number of characters from the first season, including Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson Cohen and Henry Thomas. The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - Victoria Pedretti as Dani Clayton
Her character: American nanny Dani Clayton travels to England after she's hired by Henry Wingrave to look after his niece and nephew, Flora and Miles, at his stately mansion.
As well as The Haunting of Hill House where she played twin Nell Crain, 25-year-old Victoria has been busy starring as Love Quinn in Netflix thriller You alongside Penn Badgley.
The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - Tahirah Sharif as Rebecca Jessel
Her character: Rebecca is the children's ex-nanny and has links to Peter Quint.
You might recognise south London-born Tahirah from her acting stint in BBC teen drama Waterloo Road in 2015. More recently, she appeared in Netflix Christmas movie A Christmas Prince: A Royal Wedding and the second instalment A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. Both excellent Christmas movies, if you ask us.

His character: 10-year-old orphaned Miles is Henry Wingrave's nephew.
After making his start in theatre, The Haunting of Bly Manor marks Yorkshire-born Benjamin's first big TV role.
The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - T'Nia Miller as Hannah Grose
Her character: Hannah is the housekeeper at Bly Manor.
As well as starring as Celeste on Years and Years alongside Emma Thompson, Russell Tovey, Rory Kinnear and more, T'Nia also appeared in the last season of Sex Education as chair of the school board Maxine Tarrington.

His character: Henry Wingrave is Miles and Flora's uncle and the owner of Bly Manor. He hires Dani Clayton to look after the kids.
Former ET child star Henry played Hugh Crain in The Haunting of Hill House and will also appear in Mike Flanagan's next scary show - Midnight Mass.
The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - Oliver Jackson Cohen as Peter Quint
His character: Peter Quint is a former business associate of Henry Wingrave and an ex-employee at Bly.
Following his role as the troubled Luke Crain in The Haunting of Hill House, the actor starred alongside Elisabeth Moss in the chilling remake of The Invisible Man. In a previous interview, he described his character as a "charming young man who lives at Bly" but he's also got a dark side and "makes life very difficult for everyone there".
The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - Amelie Bea Smith as Flora
Her character: She plays the orphaned Flora Wingrave.
After playing five-year-old Daisy, the foster child of Arshad Ahmed and Mariam Ahmed, on EastEnders from 2018-2019, Amelie landed the part of voicing Peppa Pig earlier this year. The Netflix show is her third TV project since she started acting.
The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - Amelia Eve as Jamie
Her character: Jamie is the Bly Manor groundskeeper.
Amelia has been acting since 2011, but this marks her first major role in TV. According to IMDb, she also works as a production manager.
The Haunting of Bly Manor cast - Rahul Kohli as Owen
His character: He plays the chef at Bly Manor.
Since 2007, Brit actor Rahul has clocked up a very long list of TV credits, including Holby City and EastEnders. Later, he cracked Hollywood and appeared in the likes of iZombie and the animated Harley Quinn TV series. Rahul is also set to star in next year's Midnight Mass with Henry Thomas.
