McVitie's is seeing in the new year with the launch of a new biscuit, and they're quite a switch up from traditional biccies.

Indulgent new McVitie's Blissfuls have an almost tart or pie-like structure, with a golden biscuit crust holding smooth Belgian milk chocolate cream, and topped with a quite fancy biscuit lid shaped with an arty McV logo. Very posh.

Launching in both a hazelnut and caramel option, another factor that sets them apart is that they come in a resealable pouch rather than a traditional packet. We're not sure if this will be enough to stop us polishing them all off in one go, but it's a step in the right direction?

They're available in Sainsbury's now in packs of 16, and will be rolling out in all major retailers soon. So keep your eyes out for them in the biscuit aisle.

Of course the snack pages of Instagram have already given them a thorough test-drive for us all. @SweetReviewsUk did this particularly impressive photo shoot of the new treats and they look delicious

Writing; "They are totally delicious and with the handy resealable pouch they stay fresh for longer than normal biscuit packs. We would definitely buy them again. We think these are the best new product Mcvities have launched in a very long time. "

High praise.

David Titman, Marketing Director for McVitie's, said in the press release; “We’re very excited to reveal our new delicious and indulgent treat, Blissfuls. The perfect accompaniment to an evening in, Blissfuls are a gloriously chocolately, crunchy biscuit treat that we think everyone will enjoy! There’s really no other way to describe them – they’re simply blissful.”

Available in the biscuit aisle in Sainsbury’s from 3 January and other retailers from the end of January. RRP £2.59 per 228g pouch. Each pack contains 16 biscuits.
