McDonald's Is Making Some Major Changes Ahead Of The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

You didn't think that the official partner of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant wasn't going to launch anything special in honour of Her Majesty now, did you?

With just days until the Queen's 70-year reign is officially celebrated with a four-day weekend, McDonald's has announced thats it's making some *big* changes to not only its menu, but also its iconic jingle and packaging.

Yep! In dedication to the Queen, McDonald’s has teamed up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to re-create its signature jingle and make it fit for a queen. We're talking a 35-strong ensemble featuring brass, strings, percussion, and woodwind. Amaze, or what?

Not only that, the fast food chain is even giving customers the chance to dine like a royal with limited-edition China sets up for grabs. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to enter the competition via the McDonald’s App between 31 May – 6 June, and the lucky winners being crowned on 8 June.

If that wasn't enough, a menu item favourite - the Quarter Pounder with Cheese - has been renamed for the occasion. Now known as the "Royale with Cheese," this burger will be available for just 99p via the McDonald's App over the bank holiday weekend.

And the good news doesn't stop there... as well as all of this, McDonald's is also offering a Spend £15 Save £5 deal on orders made via the app, on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June. See you there, guys?
