Mr and Mrs Smith series from Amazon Prime Video has added some more recognisable names to its cast.

Variety has reported that the TV show version of the iconic film that birthed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as a real-life couple, which is being led by Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, has signed up a trio of names we're sure you are familiar with.

First up, we've got Michaela Coel, star and creator of I May Destroy You and Chewing Gum, who also appeared in Black Mirror and will soon be seen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

We've also got Severance and Transformers' John Turturro, and There Will Be Blood and 12 Years a Slave's Paul Dano. It serves as sort of a reunion between the two actors, as they both starred in The Batman, even if they didn't appear in any scenes together.

We don't know who these three will be playing at the moment, but we do know that they are more guest star appearances than major roles.

Seeing as both our main characters are assassins, they could be victims or fellow contract killers, perhaps?

While I May Destroy You was a critical and commercial success, taking home multiple awards, Michaela Coel has stated that there absolutely isn't going to be a second series.

Mr and Mrs Smith is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video some time in 2022.
