Matt Smith has scored his first ever Burberry campaign alongside veteran Burberry star Cara Delevingne. The two actors were shot by British photographer Alasdair McLellan in a portfolio of images as well as for a video, where they sing, chat and act along to ‘Always On My Mind’ by the Pet Shop Boys.

The campaign aims to celebrate the British character and charm of Burberry’s new collection, which is already available to buy.

"Burberry has always been a brand I have admired," Smith said in a press release. "From the football stands to the macs on the runway. The chance to work with Christopher, who with his design and vision, has contributed so much to a brilliant British brand and indeed left a footprint not only on fashion but on British culture itself, is a huge privilege."

This marks Smith’s first campaign for the fashion house, but The Crown actor is a perfect fit for the brand and is already a frequent attendee of the house’s events alongside his Burberry campaign star other-half, Lily James.

Of course, Delevingne is something of a Burberry favourite and has appeared in campaigns and on the catwalk for the brand on countless occasions during her career. She said today: "It has been and always will be a joy to work with you and the Burberry family."

It was announced just yesterday that creative director Christopher Bailey would be departing the brand after nearly 17 years in March next year. There has been no confirmation of who will replace him.
