Mary-Kate Olsen has officially filed for divorce from Pierre Olivier Sarkozy.

Olsen, who has been attempting to divorce Sarkosy for several weeks, was finally able to after New York courts began allowing lawsuits and divorces to be filed online, reports Yahoo.

She originally filed in April, but this was then denied by the court as it was deemed “unessential”. Her emergency filing included a divorce petition and requests for the couple’s prenuptial agreement to be enforced.

The emergency filing reportedly serves as the only way that Olsen can assure her belongings at their house won’t be discarded.

The Row designer claimed that Sarkozy had ended the lease on their apartment and that therefore she was being forced to move during the pandemic.

“This application is an emergency because my husband expects me to move out of our home on Monday, May 18 2020, in the middle of New York City being on pause due to Covid-19,” it read, according to Jezebel.

The couple first started dating in 2012 and married three years later during an intimate Manhattan ceremony. They have no children together, but Sarkozy has two from his previous marriage.

Olsen is reportedly residing with her twin sister and co-designer, Ashley Olsen, in the meantime.
