Mary Berry Teased For Wearing Flashy “Gangster” Belt

Poor Mary Berry’s latest “Great British Bake Off” look didn’t go down well. Time to sack the stylist perhaps? The 80-year-old, who’s normally so on point with her classy ensembles, had a bit of a fashion f*** up with one of accessories from Wednesday night’s show.
Mary donned a flashy £495 Hermès vintage belt for the programme, which doesn’t sound so bad – until you see pics of boxer Floyd Mayweather, TOWIE star Joey Essex and TV presenter Rylan Clark wearing the very same one.
The innocent style error has caused many viewers to poke fun at the baker, with one fan joking that Mary must’ve left her “Birkin & Louboutins in the other little tent.”
Another viewer tweeted, “Mary berry is so gansta with a hermès belt on (sic).”
But not all of the comments were negative. “GBBO Mary Berry is literally the only person who could wear a H logo Hermes belt and look classy.”
And another Twitter user wrote that Mary is “legit style goals”. Bet she’ll love hearing that.
Mary’s famous for her more subtle fashion choices, which tend to include pieces from high street stores like Zara and M&S – so a designer belt was a little out of the ordinary. But hey, maybe she just loved it.
This isn’t the first time that one of Mary’s outfits has caused a stir. Remember the silk Zara bomber jacket that she wore in 2012? That’s still racking up sky-high bids on eBay.

And her infamous stork-print M&S bomber jacket sold out in less than an hour last year, after Mary was spotted in it on the show.
Well we reckon Mary’s still as chic as ever – we only hope we can look as good as she does when we’ve been around for eight decades.
