Mary Berry shared some truly special memories on her visit to The One Show this week, showing pictured of her wedding in 1967 and telling the hosts all about the special day.

The show shared the clip, including the photos, to Instagram, writing in the caption: "Dame Mary Berry reminisces on her wedding day and proves that rain can be a sign of good luck ♥️"

In the pictures a young Mary is instantly recognisable, wearing a simple and elegant long sleeve wedding dress with classic pearls and a detailed waistband. She's sporting a sweet bob, not too dissimilar from her iconic style we know her with today, topped with a white hat and long veil, and the look is oh-so-sixties.

We also get a look at the famous baker's wedding cake, a beautifully decorated, yet modest by today's standards, two-tier cake.

She told the hosts in the clip; "Ours was a smaller wedding, and also it was tea. And it was a very sort of normal tea, sandwiches, raspberries and cream, a few speeches, and I remember it poured with rain," going on to add; "and we were left on our honeymoon and it poured with rain and it was a very strange feeling."

To which Alex Jones replied; "Well isn't it good luck, rain on your wedding day?"

And in a touching moment Mary responded; "Well it certainly was because we've been married 56 years."

So beautiful.

It was Alex's return from summer break and she made it clear on Instagram just how glad she was to have Mary on, posting a sweet selfie together and writing; "Just loved being back on @bbctheoneshow tonight. Such a treat to have one of my absolute favourites on to kick of the new term and always lovely to see @lucyyoungthecook too!"
