Magic Mike's Last Dance
This is the much anticipated finale to the 'Magic Mike' series - which was created by and stars Channing Tatum as an exotic male dancer. Since its inception in 2012, 'Magic Mike' has spawned one sequel, a stage musical and a TV series. Of the upcoming movie - which is set for release on February 10 - Tatum said: "We’re gonna go big. I mean truly, we're not gonna leave anything on the bench. "We're taking it out, we're putting it on stage, it's gonna be wild. "I was like, 'Why are we going to make a third one if not just go really, really, really for the stars?'"©BANG Showbiz - 4/11
Creed III
Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors hit the ring for the third instalment of the hit boxing franchise, a spin-off from Sylvester Stallone's 'Rock' movies. Michael takes control as director for the first time. Prior to its March 3 release, he said: "I’m telling a story of where I believe Adonis is at, and also at 35 years old, I had a lot to say, as a young man and as a young black man, with my life experiences. I could actually share a piece of myself with the world, through these characters and through this story. So, I just felt like it was the right time [to direct]."©BANG Showbiz - 5/11
Super Mario Bros.
The Nintendo video game icon will hit the big screen on April 7. The '80s game 'Super Mario Bros.' was responsible for making the Nintendo Entertainment System the must-have console, and after one big screen misstep in 1993 (live action anyone?) the Italian plumber is back to save Princess Peach once again. Chris Pratt voices Mario and said of his casting: "When [Illumination] cast me, they didn’t even know it was the star of Guardians of the Galaxy, they just thought they were getting a perfect Mario voice that would work for scale. When I showed up, they were incredibly surprised, but I assured them I would stay true to the character’s iconic voice."©BANG Showbiz - 6/11
The Little Mermaid
Halle Bailey will swim onto screens on 26 May in the title role of Disney's live action production of their 1989 animated classic 'The Little Mermaid', where as Ariel she will belt out classics such as 'Part of Your World'. Halle's casting caused some controversy online amongst Disney fans - as she is not the red-haired Ariel of the cartoon version - but director Rob Marshall insisted that she was chosen simply because she was the "best actor" for the part. He said: "We just were looking for the best actor for the role, period. The end. "We saw everybody and every ethnicity. (The goal was to find someone who can be) incredibly strong, passionate, beautiful, smart, clever (and with) a great deal of fire and joy."©BANG Showbiz - 7/11

Barbie
Margot Robbie recently wrapped filming her role as the world's favourite fashion doll and fans will be able to see her brought to life on the big screen when 'Barbie' is released on 21 July. In the movie, Barbie is expelled from Barbieland for being a less than perfect-looking doll, and sets off for the human world to find true happiness. Despite being one of the most hotly-anticipated movies of the year, director Greta Gerwig feared that taking on the project could ruin her career. Greta said: "It was something that was exciting because it was terrifying. I think that was a big part of it, like, 'Oh, no, Barbie.' "It felt like vertigo, starting to write it, like, 'Where do you even begin, and what would be the story?’ And I think it was that feeling I had was knowing that it would be really interesting terror. Usually that’s where the best stuff is, where you’re like, ‘I am terrified of that.’ Anything where you’re like, ‘This could be a career-ender’ — then you’re like, ‘I should probably do it.'”©BANG Showbiz - 9/11
The Marvels
The sequel to Marvel’s 2019 origin story for Captain Marvel will hit the big screen on July 28. Director Nia Dacosta teased: "For 'The Marvels', my biggest thing going into it was making sure I approached these characters as human beings and not necessarily as superheroes. I want to know more about Captain Marvel. "Who is she? What are her fears? What drives her? How do you actually deal with being the most powerful being in the universe? How does that weigh on you? That's the sort of thing I want to explore."©BANG Showbiz - 10/11
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One
Tom Cruise will return to his role as as IMF agent Ethan Hunt in the seventh instalment of the spy thriller franchise and will be back on screen in the all-action role on 14 July. Explaining the significance of the movie's title, director Christopher McQuarrie said: "Dead reckoning' is a navigational term. It means you're picking a course based solely on your last known position and that becomes quite the metaphor not only for Ethan, but several characters."©BANG Showbiz - 11/11
Dune: Part Two
'Dune' was the 2021 sci-fi movie which showed us an interstellar society in which noble houses control planets. 'Dune' - based on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel of the same name - wowed critics and won several Oscars at the 2022 Academy Awards, and the sequel is due out on November 3. Director Denis Villeneuve teased: "I had to make tons of choices, and there’s things that I know in this first part suffered because of it. There were beautiful scenes that were written and even shot ... that didn’t make the cut… But when you adapt, you have to make bold choices in order for the thing to come to life. And I think that was the best way to introduce this world to a wide audience. Now in the second one, I want to have more flexibility, and it will be possible to go a little bit deeper into some of these details."©BANG Showbiz
