Married At First Sight UK is in full swing, and fans have a lot to say about Franky and Marilyse's honeymoon destination during last night's episode [7 September].

The pair were one of the last couples to tie the knot, with the relationship experts matching 37-year-old trainer Marilyse and 47-year-old strength and conditioning coach Franky thanks to their shared values.

After the ceremony, the pair were treated to a honeymoon as a chance to get to know each other better, and spend some quality time as a married couple. So, considering some of the other couples have been treated to Mexico and the Maldives, where did they jet off to?

Er, the Lake District. Fans were quick to question the short haul holiday compared to some of the other luxury trips.

"Maldives, Mexico, Switzerland and you get Lake District?" one person wrote, while another put, "Lake District when the girls are in the Maldives, Mexico, DR and Switzerland… nah I’d have to fight the producers [sic]."

Someone else said, "Imagine getting the Lake District when your pals are in the Maldives #mafsuk."

Other viewers pointed out the choice of destination might be down to covid isolation restrictions, so Marilyse didn't have to quarantine away from her sons.

Or maybe they just really love the Great British outdoors?
