Married At First Sight UK viewers were left raging after E4 accidentally aired the penultimate episode of the series as oppose to the finale.

As a result of ongoing technical issues at Channel 4, which also resulted in GBBO having no subtitles on Tuesday [28 September], MAFS UK fans were sadly not treated to the final commitment ceremonies. Needless to say, social media was upset.

In a statement explaining what happened, a spokesperson for E4 said:

Following the incident at the weekend, ongoing technical issues have meant that Thursday night’s episode of Married at First Sight UK was a repeat from Wednesday 29th September. We apologise to the fans of the show and have worked hard to get the episode to you this evening at 9pm. We hope that when you finally watch it you can find out whether Amy & Josh, Tayah & Adam and Morag & Luke renew their vows."

Instead, the final show will be shown on Friday 1st October at 9pm on E4.

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment last night [30 September], with one writing, "Wtf a repeat? I've waited all day for tonight's episode #MarriedAtFirstSightUK"

Another put, "When Twitter saves you from thinking you’re going mad why is last nights episode on again? #MAFSUK" and someone else said, "When you wait 45 minutes for the finale and they play first dates #MAFSUK."

Some of the memes were actually kind of hilarious:

Hey, at least we know what we're doing tonight now.

Married At First Sight UK concludes tonight at 9pm on E4.
