Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have splashed out on a lavish new addition to their £3.5 million Essex mansion, a jaw-dropping pergola worth an eye-watering £30,000. The loved-up pair, who tied the knot in 2015 and live together in Essex, often give fans a sneak peek into their stunning home via their individual Instagram accounts. Recently, they've been sharing updates on the extensive renovation of their property - with work kicking off in 2019 and wrapping up in August last year.

But even though the major renovations were finished, which led to the 37 year old former Coronation Street star and her reality TV hubby throwing a celebratory pool party, it seems the duo just can't resist adding more luxurious touches to their home. Michelle and Mark, also 37, have now taken their property to another level with this fabulous outdoor feature.

In a recent social media post, Michelle gave fans an update on their garden, revealing the incredible pergola. This chic outdoor space boasts a bar, kitchen, dining area, and outdoor heating - and the summer-ready setup, complete with tiled flooring and surrounded by glass windows, even features a pizza oven, which Michelle showed off in the post.

The actress shared a photo of a delicious-looking pizza topped with pepperoni and onions, perfectly cooked in her outdoor oven. Just last week, Michelle unveiled another personal touch to their home: a romantic piece of artwork dedicated to Mark, reports the Mirror.

The star recently took to social media to share her love for a stunning piece of art by David Howarth, which now takes pride of place in her kitchen. The artwork, which she says gives her "goosebumps" is a testament to Howarth's talent, whose works usually sell for around £30 for smaller pieces and up to £1,600 for larger commissions like Michelle's.

Posting a photo of the artwork, Michelle expressed her adoration with heartfelt words: "'There's a place in my heart that will never belong to anyone but you...' @davohowarth has done it again...honestly, I get goosebumps every time I look at it. A personal piece of art that I will cherish forever (just like the one he created in my hallway a few years ago). So special."

In a candid chat with The Observer last year, Michelle opened up about the emotional moment she saw her renovated home for the first time after returning from filming in Australia. She recounted, "I was filming in Australia and hadn't seen the house for months. And when I walked in, Mark had lit all the candles and... I couldn't speak for five minutes."

"He was like, 'What do you think? ' I couldn't find the words to say how I felt, because I was so overwhelmed. I just burst out crying. It still gets me emotional. Because we've worked really hard for it. We've had to make a lot of sacrifices."

Earlier this year, Michelle made a splash starring in the Netflix drama Fool Me Once. Her performance was so captivating, it sparked whispers she could be up for the role of the next Bond girl. In the meantime, fans can catch her in season 6 of Brassic - set to air on Sky on 26 September.
