Mariska Hargitay Is Going Viral for Her Sweet Support of Brooke Shields

We absolutely adore women supporting women, and Mariska Hargitay put her adoration of friend Brooke Shields on full display on the red carpet earlier this week.
When the 58-year-old model and actress was an honoree at Glamour’s Women of the Year awards ceremony in New York City on Nov. 7, Shields uplifted her bestie in the sweetest way: by drawing attention to the “B” pendant necklace around her neck and asking photographers to zoom in on it while on the red carpet.
“Somebody go super close on my necklace, ’cause I’m wearing a ‘B’ for Brooke,” the Law & Order star asked of the paparazzi. “Can you see it? Can you go super tight?”
Glamour’s official Instagram account shared the heartwarming moment on Instagram the following day to major fanfare.
“‘Can you go super tight’ ‘hold on’ & *adjusts glasses*. Legit obsessed at her commanding the moment. #icon,” one fan wrote in the comments section.
“she said LISTEN UP. CLOSE IN ON THE NECKLACE and the whole room listened,” someone else noted. “so real of them. as they should.”
“My love,” Shields added.
“What a special friend,” Debra Messing cheered.
“My lord have mercy that woman is spectacular,” someone else gushed.
Hargitay, 59, presented Shields with her award during the main event, along with the third gal pal in their close friend trio, Ali Wentworth.
Wentworth, a 58-year-old actress and comedian, served as an executive producer on Shields’s television mini series, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields.
