It’s no secret that as a culture we are obsessed with trash TV. From ‘Keeping Up with The Kardashians’ to ‘Love Island’…reality TV is the 21st Century equivalent of feeding the gladiators to the lions. It’s not just regular folks that indulge in 'Love Island' as several Hollywood A-Listers are hooked too. As the final of ‘Love Island’ airs tonight (01.08.22), here are some of the famous faces who will be tuning in.

The ‘Easy on Me’ singer has made a career off from heartache so is it any wonder the winner of eight Grammy awards is a massive fan of Love Island? Back in 2017 Adele took a swipe at contestant Gabby Allen and described her as a “tramp” She said during a performance: “I mean Love Island shall we talk about that? Jesus Christ. My husband and I watched it last night. “When that girl [Gabby] Facetimed her mum ‘mum are you proud of me?’ No she ain’t. No she f****** ain’t proud of you! You tramp.”

The ‘Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again’ star hosted a ‘Love Island’ viewing party with her co-stars from the 2018 film. During the promotion for the movie, Lily revealed her all-time favourite series of the show was season two. She said: “For me it would be season two forever, Alex and Olivia, and Cara and Nathan, and Scott and Kady. I hope they’re watching. Big fan.”

The ultimate Queen of reality TV is a big fan of 'Love Island'. In 2018, Paris praised season four winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham for remaining loyal to each other during the show. She wrote on Twitter: “Jack & Dani are goals!”

The ‘Stranger Things’ star proved she was a massive 'Love Island' fan when she messaged the 2018 winner Dani Dyer and arranged to go out for lunch. When asked who the most famous person to contact her was since leaving the villa, she revealed: “Easy answer – Millie Bobby Brown. The girl actually watches ‘Love Island’. “I couldn’t believe it! I was like, ‘Oh my god, Eleven!’ Yeah, I did freak out a little bit. But apparently we are going for a little bit of lunch soon, so yeah, I’m looking forward to that.”

The ‘Wolf of Wall Street' star is a big fan of 'Love Island' and made it the theme of her 31st birthday party last year. Margot posed alongside her friends in an array of colourful bikinis tagging the location Casa Amor - one of the locations featured in the show. The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress revealed that both she and the writer and director of the DC film, James Gunn, both “adore Love Island so much”. She said: “He’s also a huge 'Love Island' fan and we would talk about it all the time. We probably spoke about 'Love Island' more than we spoke about this film when we were on set, we had our drink bottles on set. “I adore the show.”

The ‘High School Musical’ actress has been hooked on 'Love Island' since the very beginning of the show and confirmed that she would be watching this year's series. She said: “'Love Island' really had me hooked so I was there every single step of the way. “It’s just really interesting to see how people process things and how people identify love. “I’m definitely tuning in [on Monday]. I’m still here for it. “I want to watch everyone find love and watch it get messy along the way.”

Who would have thought that one of the most successful rom-com screenwriters, known primarily for timeless films such ‘Notting Hill’ and ‘Love Actually’ is a massive fan of ‘Love Island’? He said: “You see all those moments I try and write about that you have felt and talk to your friends about and you watch it in progress – the jealousy and the changes in heart and mind. “I find it absolutely intriguing and funny.”

‘Shut Up’ rapper Stormzy sent fans into a frenzy when he made a guest appearance on the show in 2017. However, the grime artist landed himself in hot water with a tweet that stated contestant Chris Hughes was too good for his partner Olivia Attwood. Stormzy then had a rather awkward encounter with Olivia where he claimed there were no hard feelings.

The former 'Girls' star is so obsessed with ‘Love Island’ she even wrote an essay about it for The Guardian newspaper as she spent the summer in Wales. Lena wrote: “I came to Wales with all my art supplies and no lacy underwear. I had zero fantasies about summer romance. I am asking myself the same questions they ask themselves on 'Love Island', really. Can you love again after hurt? What does partnership mean? And what does it mean to know someone if you don’t know yourself? I hope the villa is always full of smiling faces, hopeful hearts, tearful losses and ecstatic gains. I hope we can keep cracking on, into the future for ever. I hope that summer never ends.”

Irish TV personality Maura Higgins may have finished fourth on 'Love Island' in 2019, but came out of the villa with a new celebrity fan. The ‘I Feel Pretty’ star gave a shout out to her “homie” and said: “I’m loving this season of 'Love Island'. “I want to give a shout out to Maura. She’s just like my homie, I feel very connected to her.”
