Manolo Blahnik is joining forces with luxury aftercare specialists The Restory on an exclusive repair service.

A first-of-its-kind for any luxury brand, Manolo Blahnik can now help its customers to ensure their investment purchases will stand the test of time. Taking advantage of standard services such as re-soling or re-heeling right through to restoration and dyeing means your prized Manolos will always look brand new.

The partnership marks significant changes in the retail, fashion and luxury markets, resulting from a consumer and brand emphasis on circularity, which is underpinned by aftercare.

"Manolo Blahnik is one of the most beloved and iconic shoe brands," Vanessa Jacobs, founder and CEO of The Restory, told us. "Their pieces are timeless and as such their clients value being able to take care of them."

She added: "We are enabling aftercare at scale for the first time in fashion, which is integral for brands to engage their customers, increase the value of the purchase and live their customer’s values. Kristina Blahnik is one of those leading her brand into the future."

With the aftercare market now valued at £100 billion globally and the second-hand market is set to double by 2030, partnerships like this demonstrate just how important it is for the fashion industry to take the necessary steps in becoming sustainably conscious.

So what additional advice does Jacobs have for consumers who want to shop luxury, but also remain as green as possible? "Invest in the pieces that fit that expression of yourself and will continue to do so for a reasonable amount of time," she notes. "Pay attention to and develop your personal style; what shapes suit you best? What's your colour palette? What fits with your lifestyle? Once you are clear, you will buy more strategically and thoughtfully."

It's not the first time that The Restory has worked in the realm of luxury fashion, with the aftercare service previously partnering with luxury retailers Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Harrods and Farfetch.
