It's not exactly the weather for it, but that doesn't mean we're not shopping for sunnier weather. And, with that in mind, if you've been coveting Chanel's sought-after chunky sandals but do not have the funds to splash out, we have some seriously great news.

The ugly shoe trend was born back in 2015 when Balenciaga dropped its chunky Triple S trainers. No sooner had the cult sneaker saturated all of our Instagram feeds, Chanel dropped their own version of the 'dad' shoes.

Three years on and this sandal has truly trumped any 'ugly' predecessors before it. It's cute, comfy and surprisingly versatile. Don't believe us? Check out the many a high-low styling options below:

So, by now, you're probably sold. However, there's just one tiny issue: they'll cost you an arm and a leg. So, for those who don't have circa £2k lying around, the high street has some incredible dupes starting from less than £50 — and Mango is top of the wishlist.

The brand dropped some great lookalikes of Chanel's quilted denim sandals earlier this season, but they sold out very quickly. Luckily, we've found them on ASOS with most sizes still in stock — though we can't guarantee for how long.

Made from recycled cotton and easy to take on and off, these strap-on shoes will see you through the warmer months in both style and comfort.
