Marble Arch
This gastropub is located in a Grade II listed building in Manchester and was praised for its food menu.
Big 7 Travel said: “Marble Arch is more of an excellent pub that happens to do great food than a typical ‘gastropub’.
“The Grade II listed building serves beer from its own brewery, Marble Brewery.
“It also has an ever-changing, seasonal food menu of small plates and modern British favourites.
“The historic building is covered in ceramic tiles and has a sloping mosaic floor – urban legend says that the floor is sloping to draw the punters back to the bar when they try to leave!”
Marble Arch was ranked in 4th place in the list.
The gastropub has a rating of 4.5 on Tripadvisor with reviews praising its food and service.
One reviewer said: “I love this place, it’s my local. My dobermann loves this place, it’s his local too. Good food, beer and service.”
Another said: “I really shouldn’t share this experience, just in case this fantastic proper pub becomes too popular!
“Without doubt the best Sunday Beef dinner ever, and that is saying something after 50+ years eating in pubs up and down the UK. The thick slices of beef were beautifully cooked and the veg and Yorkshire pud excellent.
“And the beer is proper beer, no question.”
