Manchester City's Phil Foden expecting third baby with childhood sweetheart
Phil Foden and his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke have announced they are expecting their third child together, posting pictures from a lavish baby shower on Sunday to share the news with fans.
The Manchester City midfielder, 23, and his childhood sweetheart Rebecca, 22, are already parents to two children, son Ronnie, five, and one-year-old daughter True. And it appears another little boy is on the way, with the baby shower having a theme of baby blue decorations and the whole family dressed in the shade for the occasion.
Rebecca's blossoming bump could be seen as she donned a figure hugging silky dress, while True looked sweet in an embellished diamante dress and Phil matched his son Ronnie in the same Amiri T-shirt.
The news was shared to Instagram via an account under their son Ronnie's name, which Rebecca and Phil run. The caption read: "Had an amazing day with the most important people yesterday. Photo credit to the amazing @sophie_eleanor_photography. Thankyou again for capturing our special moments."
Ronnie's account boasts an astonishing 3.6M followers, after Ronnie - known as ‘El Wey’, which translates from Spanish as ‘the dude’ - shot to fame with his antics during Manchester City's treble-winning celebrations last year.
Ronnie was brought on the pitch by his dad following the Champions League win in Istanbul - with the pair posing for pictures alongside his mum Rebecca. The little boy was also filmed approaching City’s long-haired goalscoring sensation Erling Haaland from behind before exclaiming in shock: “I thought you were a girl.”
Phil and Rebecca's baby shower was held at Stockport County Football Club and featured giant LED letter blocks which spelled out 'Baby Foden', with a massive balloon arch sitting over the letters. A 'Baby Foden' cake sat with a collection of other sweet treats, while the couple even had their own pick 'n' mix sweet cart for guests to enjoy.
Ronnie was also snapped as he swung on a wooden swing in front of a blue floral wall, while the venue had a white bouncy castle too..
Stockport-born Phil and Rebecca are believed to have got together during their teenage years.
Rebecca prefers to keep out of the spotlight but a fan page dedicated to their relationship shows sweet snaps of the baby-faced pair which indicates that they have been together from an early age.
Phil and Rebecca live in a £3.25million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire, which forms part of the affluent “Golden Triangle” in the region.
