Man repeatedly cut fence causing thousands of pounds of damage
A MAN repeatedly cut a wire fence at a golf course causing thousands of pounds worth of damage, police say.
Between Monday, July 17 and Friday, August 4, the man repeatedly cut the fence to gain access to Sturminster Marshall Golf Course.
The golf course installed the fence to protect members of the public walking along footpaths from entering by mistake and potentially being injured by golf balls.
Police officers investigating have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the criminal damage.
Police community support investigator Lindy Wilson, of Dorset Police, said: “I am continuing to investigate these incidents and have now obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to identify.
“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
