A man has been taken to hospital after a crash in Walworth.

The incident between a pedestrian and a cyclist happened in Walworth Road just before 3pm yesterday (March 19).

Officers were called to the scene and found a pedestrian, a 66-year-old man, with a head injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently unknown.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “On Sunday 19 March at 14-55hrs at Walworth Road J/W East Street, police officers on patrol were alerted to a collision involving a pedal cyclist and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian aged 66 had suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital. We await an assessment of his condition.

“The investigation is being undertaken by officers from AS BCU, at this stage no arrests have been made.”
