A man is due to appear in court on Monday charged with murdering a 37-year-old man found dead in Enfield.

Joshua Gabbana, 24, of MacLeod Road, will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of Nathaniel De Sousa-Roper.

It follows an investigation by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime after officers were called at 5pm on Friday to reports of a man stabbed at a residential address in MacLeod Road.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but Mr De Sousa-Roper was pronounced dead at the scene.

It comes after tributes were paid to a “kind” hospital worker found beaten to death at her west London home on Wednesday.

Hansa Patel, 62, was found suffering from head injuries at the terraced home she shared with her husband and Shanil Patel, 31, in Drew Gardens, Greenford.
