A MAN has been charged following a crash in Bournemouth which left two pedestrians seriously injured.

John Paul William Donnelly, of no fixed address, appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 25.

The 34 year old has been charged with causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to report a road accident and driving without valid insurance.

As reported, Dorset Police were called to a crash in Poole Road, near to the St Michael’s Roundabout, just after 9pm on Thursday, September 21.

The crash involved a grey Audi A4 estate and two pedestrians.

Emergency services attended and the pedestrians, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, were rushed to Southampton Hospital with serious injuries.

Following enquiries by the Roads Policing Team, Donnelly was arrested and later charged.

He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, October 26.
