Malia Obama is following in Barack and Michelle Obama's footsteps and making a name for herself in the US.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources claim the Obamas' eldest daughter is 'joining the writers' room of Donald Glover's first rumoured project at Amazon Prime's studio.

The project is described by Variety as a 'a mini-room' for something producer Janine Nabers is working on about a 'Beyoncé-like figure'. Nabers is a playwright and television writer best known for her work on Watchmen, Away and Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.

The rumoured deal was announced on February 17 and Amazon has reportedly declined to comment on the news, per THR. ELLE UK has since reached out to Amazon Prime Video.
