A major character is returning for The Bold Type final season
The Bold Type has been the drama-filled bingewatch we didn't know we needed, and we're now impatiently waiting for the fifth and final season to drop.
According to reports, a major character from earlier seasons will be making a comeback for new episodes. *Spoilers for The Bold Type coming up*
TVLine say the fifth series will see Sam Page returning as Richard Hunter, the estranged husband of Sutton Brady (played by Meghann Fahy). The two split during season 4 after she suffered a miscarriage, and a disagreement over whether they really want to start a family or not ensured.
Following the split, Sutton turned to alcohol and hooked up with her ex-boyfriend (who is now married). While it's currently not known what capacity Richard is returning in, there's no doubt it'll mean D-R-A-M-A.
Showrunner Wendy Straker Hauser previously TV Line they weren’t ruling out a reconciliation between the couple. "I feel that Richard and Sutton have much more to explore," she teased. "They both need to explore themselves first, though. They haven’t hit real, huge roadblocks before… I certainly don’t think the door is closed forever. But we’ll all discuss it in season 5."
So far, we know season 5 will consist of six episodes, and is set to return to Freeform on May 26. In the UK, Netflix has the first four seasons, so fans are hoping the fifth and final season will land on the streaming service around the same time.
