Actress and filmmaker Maisie Williams can now add another string to her bow with the Game of Thrones star announcing a new fashion role with H&M. Rather than heading up a new collaboration or range, Maisie has just landed the title of H&M's Global Sustainability Ambassador.

Maisie announced her new role on Instagram this afternoon with a very trippy video featuring her turning into an avatar (yep, welcome to the ~future~). "I am pleased to finally share the news of my partnership with H&M as ✨Global Sustainability Ambassador✨ and I cannot wait for you all to see what we have been working on. 💌" writes Maisie.

"In this role, I will be working closely with experts within H&M to drive their sustainability initiatives and shape the path towards an accessible and circular fashion future. The long term goal is to use 100 percent recycled or other sustainably sourced materials for textiles across the entire H&M Group by 2030. ♻️

"It’s time to take action and create more viable production circuits in fashion to protect our planet for the next generation. 🌎 🌱"

"Williams will join H&M throughout the year to drive change in fashion in the virtual world and real life, encouraging the reuse, remaking and recycling of unwanted garments in a united effort to close the loop in fashion," writes the brand in a press release.

Maisie's appointment will also include working alongside her digital twin, Avatar Maisie, with the duo's first joint appearance at the launch of H&M Looop Island in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons', tomorrow.
