Road in Poole reopens after hours of traffic issues due to emergency gas works
A MAIN road in Poole is closed this morning due to a gas leak following a crash.
Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash on the A3049 Ringwood Road shortly after 10pm on Monday, January 30.
The road is currently closed in both directions between Mountbatten roundabout and Alderney roundabout.
Police said a man had been arrested on suspicion of a driving offence.

Fire crews from Poole, Redhill Park and Westbourne attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said a 60-metre cordon was put in place due to a ruptured gas main.
Firefighters left the scene at 5.32am when the incident was handed over to police.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "At 10.03pm on Monday, January 30, Dorset Police received a report of a non-injury, single-vehicle road traffic collision at the Mountbatten roundabout, Poole. A car had collided with a tree and a brick wall.
"A raised gas mains has been damaged. Due to the required repairs the road will remain closed from the Mountbatten roundabout to the Alderney roundabout in both directions for several hours. Please use alternative routes.
"A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and released under investigation."
The road was fully reopened shortly after 11am.
