MAFS star Peggy confirms she's dating again after messy Georges split
Married At First Sight UK star Peggy Rose Lawrence has revealed that she is dating again following her split from Georges Berthonneau. The duo were paired together on the last season of the reality TV show, though their split was announced on Valentine’s Day, with Peggy breaking the news in an emotional statement.
Sharing the sad news at the time, the TV personality explained that she was “absolutely heartbroken”. However, seven months on from the announcement Peggy has said that she is dating another man after she attended the event with a mystery man - though she revealed that they weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend.
According to The Sun, Peggy - who is currently working on a boutique hotel and hopes to open a fashion store - attended the event with a new man and explained that while they weren’t officially a couple yet, things were going well.

Peggy also reportedly told the publication that the person she is dating gets on well with her family. The revelation comes after Peggy announced her split from Georges on Valentine’s Day earlier this year.
“I’m so sorry I’ve been quiet on socials everybody but there’s a reason for my silence,” she wrote on Instagram. “Me and Georges are no longer together and I’m absolutely heartbroken.
“It’s affected my mental health and it’s taken me weeks to come to terms with it. But with it being Valentine’s Day, I can’t pretend to be okay. Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey… nobody is more upset about it than me.”
Following Peggy’s statement, Georges claimed he was left blindsided by the split statement and added that he was “trying to come to terms” with life without his partner first. “Wasn't expecting a statement from Peggy regarding the situation.
“I'm heartbroken by our break up and also trying to come to terms with life without Peggy. I appreciate a lot of you have questions but I won't be talking about this situation as of yet. Also thank you for the messages of support,” he wrote on Instagram.

Earlier this year, Peggy spoke to OK! about her time on MAFS and revealed what she’d be taking away from the experience. “I can’t explain how much I loved it. Best thing I’ve ever done! Even the lows were worth it,” she said.
“I’m not going to go into past relationships, but I look at it as a huge learning curve. That’s life, I have no regrets. Everyone has their ups and downs - ours were just publicised!"
