I know there's a whole lot of beauty brands out there, but for me MAC will always be the OG makeup queen. I go back to them time and time again, and it's not just because the lipsticks smell like some kind of expensive sugar syrup (that's literally the only way I can think to describe it), their formulas are forever on point. So when MAC announce a new product launch, it's worth getting excited about.

Enter, the new Waterweight Concealer...

MAC's Senior Artist, Dominic Skinner, gave us a first look at the concealer on Instagram.

Captioning the pic: "The most used and #MostLoved #Product in my #MakeupKit this season has to be the #NEW #MAC# StudioWaterweight #Concealer coming 2018 it's #super lightweight but packs an almighty punch with coverage. I've used it on its own as a Concealer and #Foundation, but also mixed it with a dash of #StrobeCream as well as a Spray of #FixPlus. Semi-Matte longwearing and totally #Skin like"

From the name, it's fair to presume that the new concealer will be somewhat similar to MAC's Waterweight Foundation. The foundation has a 'ultra-fluid, elastic gel-serum formula' that feels almost weightless on the skin. It gives a medium coverage and is known for 'blurring' the skin and keeping oil under control. So, could the new Waterweight Concealer deliver all the same benefits but with a dialled up coverage? I'm voting yes.

As with most MAC formulas it sounds like the concealer can be worn alone, or blended with other products to create a bespoke finish. Dominic revealed that he's tried mixing it with MAC's strobe cream to give a 'skin like' finish - which sounds riiight up our street.

Just like so many new makeup launches, the concealer was debuted backstage at London Fashion Week.
