M&S-style salted caramel and apple overnight oats that are higher in protein and cheaper to make
A Marks & Spencer’s fan has shared her take on the ‘viral’ overnight oats pot, packing it with more protein and saving you precious pennies. The supermarket’s overnight oats pots have stormed social media, but one foodie has shared how you can make them at home.
TikTok creator Jess, known as @itsjessthomo, regularly shares meals she creates to help her stick to her calorie deficit. Having previously explained that she recreates M&S’s viral Salted Caramel Overnight Oats at home, she finally gave a tutorial on how to make them.
M&S’s overnight oats pot boasts a cool 20 grams of protein. But for Jess’ recipe, she added a generous amount of collagen powder for an extra protein boost.

Per serving, Jess’ recipe has a total of 441 calories and a whopping 34 grams of protein. In the video, Jess said: “Every time I’ve gone into Marks & Spencer’s to get these they’ve been sold out, which is why it’s taken me so long, but we’re gonna do our own version and then we never have to worry about it again.”
After leaving her oats in the fridge overnight, Jess tested out the result. She said: “The oats are done and as you can see my version is almost identical in terms of colour and look as the Marks & Spencer’s one… Actually think mine is better.”
Jess’ video has been viewed over 29,800 times, with food fans praising her easy replica recipe. Evie said: “Hallelujah my fyp is finally ALIGNED TO WHAT I WANT TO SEE.”
Flora agreed: “Omg you’re a saviour!! Any chance you could try the apple ones.”
Another wrote, “Love using the dates,” while Jessica commented, “This looks sooo good! Cannot wait to try, thank you.”
