M&S is selling Jubilee themed British Strawberry Gin Liqueur

·2-min read

M&S's new British Strawberry Gin Liqueur is right up our street. We love experimenting with fruity cocktail ingredients when the weather is nice, and what says British Summer more than a gin liqueur infused with locally grown strawberries? Well, a Jubilee themed gin liqueur infused with locally grown strawberries, that's what.

The pretty bottles are covered in red white and blue bunting along with a simple strawberry design, and if the history of M&S Gin liqueurs is anything to go by will be flying off the shelves. The 70cl bottles have a 20% ABV making M&S British Strawberry Gin Liqueur perfect for not only cocktails, or enjoyed on the rocks, but also for lower ABV mixed drinks when served with a mixer like tonic.

The charming design and reasonable £16 price tag also makes them a lovely gift for a host. But act fast as we imagine stock won't last long, so you better get down to your local M&S.

The retailer has even helped with a handy guide to fabulous cocktails and even an Eton Mess with a twist. View the full guide here or take a peak at the tasty recipes below.

M&S' British Strawberry Gin Liqueur Recipes

  • "For a fruity take on a G&T, gently muddle two basil leaves in a tumbler, fill the glass with ice, pour over two measures of strawberry gin liqueur, top with rhubarb and strawberry tonic and garnish with some extra mint leaves."

  • "Fancy a refreshing aperitif? Simply add one measure of strawberry gin liqueur to a flute or coupe, pour over some Conte Priuli prosecco rosé and add a scattering of pomegranate seeds."

  • "Finally, try our take on a gin sour. To make, dry shake two measures of strawberry gin liqueur, 25ml lemon juice, 15ml egg white and 15ml simple syrup (made by heating equal parts water and sugar until the sugar dissolves) vigorously. Add ice and shake again until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a strawberry."

  • "Try making a boozy twist on an Eton mess by soaking chopped strawberries in our strawberry gin liqueur for a few hours. Blitz half of the strawberries to create a sauce. Layer crumbled meringues, strawberry chunks, strawberry sauce and whipped cream in glasses. Finally, top with some extra sauce, strawberry chunks and mint leaves.
