M&S launches 'dippy egg' hot cross buns - here's when and where to get them
M&S has just launched a brand-new hot cross bun flavour inspired by 'dippy eggs.'
The new Dippy Egg Filled Hot Cross Bun (£3.50) is made with a chocolatey dough and 'dippy egg' filling. Don't worry – the filling isn't runny egg! It's a sweet filling created using white chocolate inspired by fondant-filled chocolate Easter eggs.
The new hot cross buns launch in M&S stores from tomorrow (Wednesday 26th March).
M&S says the launch celebrates 50 years of M&S hot cross buns, during which time we've seen the invention of the much-loved Extremely Chocolatey hot cross bun and award-winning gluten-free and vegan options.
Alongside the new Dippy Egg Filled Hot Cross Bun, tomorrow will see the brand-new Heat to Eat 6 Cinn-A-Yum Buns (£3.50) land in stores. This hot cross bun and cinnamon roll hybrid features cinnamon buns made with sweet dough, enriched with butter and finished with a drizzle of white icing and cinnamon sugar. M&S say this product is the ultimate sharing Easter treat that's best enjoyed straight from the oven.
Also new for this year is a more classic hot cross bun offering – Collection 2 Fruited Hot Cross Buns (£3.50). Made with 36% fruit and Wildfarmed flour, these rich and fruity buns contain M&S Earl Grey Tea soaked Vostizza currants, Chilean flame raisins, Chilean jumbo golden raisins, sweet cranberries, diced apricot and Italian candied orange peel, finished with a vanilla glaze.
