M&S is known for it's delicious Christmas offerings every year, but this year one of its festive bakes has caused a bit of a stir. The supermarket has put a festive spin on its 2020 donut and yum yum hybrid, known as a 'Yumnut', and launched back in March. The Christmas versions have been named Santa's Yumnuts.

The supermarket shared a photo of the new bake on Instagram and added in the caption:"Who knew a name could cause such a reaction?"

While the name has some people giggling, they actually look seriously delicious.

The rest of the caption read: "Ho Ho Ho my goodness! We’ve given our infamous Yumnuts a Christmassy makeover… and it seems to have caused a stir 😉 . Santa’s Yumnuts 🎅 are an EPIC hybrid of a yum yum and doughnut, made from exactly 48 buttery, flaky pastry layers making them wonderfully light and fluffy ... Mmmm 😋."

If you're a fan of the inventive Yumnut pastries you'll be excited to try this festive edition with it's glistening red icing and cute belt buckle detail. Santa's Yumnuts are available to buy individually; good to enjoy as a post shopping snack. But they also come in packs of three ideal for treating the kids.

The supermarket also used the hashtag 'Love Sausage' in the post, in reference to the sell-out heart shaped sausage released for Valentine's day. The name of which also had eye brows raised.

If we didn't know any better we'd think these naughty names were deliberate...

Santa's Yumnuts are available now in M&S stores nationwide, £1.50/£4 for 3.
