I’m A Celeb winner Scarlett Moffatt pleads for jungle pal to have more airtime saying ‘show more’
I'm A Celebrity champion Scarlett Moffatt has pleaded with ITV bosses to give pal Melvin Odoom more airtime. The TV favourite, who won the hearts of the nation on the ITV show in 2016, said she would love to see more of the Radio 1 DJ on her screen, especially as it gears up to the final this week.
Scarlett, 34, who skyrocketed to fame following her 2016 jungle stint, told The Sun: "I love Oti, Maura, GK - I think they're fab and I would like to see more of Melvin. I know Melvin and he's so funny and I just wish they would show him a little bit more. I think sometimes we see little glimpses of him having banter and then I'm like 'show more, show more', because he's so funny. He's doing well. I think it's always peaks and troughs when you watch this show, somebody will be the main person that episode and then the next you maybe don't see them.
"I think that's a good thing because you get to see everyone's personalities. I just love how it opens conversations up. I just love it and think it's such a good show."

During Sunday night's (1 December) episode of I'm A Celeb, the exposing elements in the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle got the better of some campmates after torrential rain flooded camp. One celeb who felt the harsh realities and was overcome with emotion was radio DJ Melvin.
Viewers saw the storm's aftermath unfold as the celebs woke up to damp conditions and a downcast day. Speaking about the conditions, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall said: "Last night’s weather was honestly biblical, we had rivers flowing through camp, pathways that are now waterways, everyone’s bed was drenched, I mean it was incredible. That was some rain that came down!"
Former boxer Barry McGuigan also said: "In my entire 63 years of life, I have never ever seen such rain, never!" However, during the night, Kiss Radio DJ Melvin woke to his hammock completely soaked through, leading him to take cover and catch some sleep in the Bush Telegraph.
In the morning, he told his campmates: "I woke up, my sleeping bag was wet, my clothes were wet, everything." With damp conditions and a lack of sleep, Melvin couldn't help but show his emotions and became tearful in front of Barry. Boxer Barry rushed to offer support, comforting him with a hug and some words of encouragement. He said to Melvin: "You’ll be alright, you’re gonna be absolutely fine. We’re all here for you, anytime you want us to help you or talk to you whatever. You can do it, you’re tough as hell I’m telling you!"
Oti also came to support Melvin with a hug and reassured him: "You are doing so well Melvin and everyone will be proud of you, I promise you. It’s ok, you’re human."
