Lush is one of our favourite beauty brands when it comes to bath bombs and face masks, but their makeup leaves a lot to be desired... Or at least it did when we tested the range last year.

It looks like Lush have been hard at work in their makeup labs improving their formulas because they have just announced the launch of a brand new stick foundation, which is not only vegan but also available in 40 shades.

Slap Sticks is a completely solid medium coverage, buildable foundation that's made using 45% coconut oil, as well as argan oil to hydrate skin and give a healthy glow. As always Lush is dedicated to their charity work and is donating 10% of profits towards funding literacy classes and a dentist on the island of Nias in Indonesia, where the coconut oil is sourced.

The 40 shades are available in warm, cool and neutral undertones and are designed to be used with either a brush or your fingertips.

In keeping with Lush's environmental pledges, each Slap Stick is partially dipped in peelable wax (like a Babybel?) and comes in a recycled and recyclable cardboard box which you can reuse to store your stick.

The one downside? As with all Lush Labs products, these sticks are are limited edition and only available to purchase online for one month only. But if you live in London you can visit the Lush Studio in Sohofrom 26th June to be colour matched before the foundations launch on Friday 6th July.
