Lululemon just launched a new cross training workout shoe - and we're big fans
When the first pair of Lululemon trainers landed online earlier this year, we were delighted one of our go-to activewear brands was extending its offering to footwear, with more trainer styles to come later in the year.
The first Lululemon trainer to launch was the Blissfeel Running Shoe (£138). Focusing on a better fit, supportive upper and every-run comfort, Lululemon claim its the first running shoe to be made based on the feedback of over a million women.
In fact, that's what makes the Lululemon footwear range so impressive - it's women-first footwear, made from scratch. While most athletic shoes are designed for a man's foot, and then altered for women - Lululemon's footwear is specifically designed for women. Through the research, development and testing process, real women weighed in to shape the final collection. Each shoe is custom-tuned for its specific activity, using premium materials for ultimate comfort and support.
And now, the second trainer in the Lululemon footwear range has landed and we got a sneak peek of the style ahead of the official launch.
The Chargefeel Workout Shoe is Lululemon's first cross-trainer shoe. It's available in two variations, a low workout shoe and a mid workout shoe with a supportive mid-cut ankle collar.
We tried the Chargefeel Low and were seriously impressed by just how supportive it is for a range of activities, from HIIT workouts to strength training. The midfoot frame provides plenty of support for running, while the pressure-mapped outsole boosts traction and flexibility. Lululemon claim the dual-density midsole is springy enough for running but agile enough for training - and we have to agree. We felt totally confident and supported using these trainers for both running and strength training workouts.
The Chargefeel Low and Mid is now available to shop on the Lululemon website in US sizes 5 to 11, and in a range of colours so you don't have to sacrifice style for functionality.
Later this year, Lululemon will be adding to its footwear line-up with the
Strongfeel Training Shoe, so watch this space...
