Luke Evans Showed Off His Jacked Arms in a New Workout Photo

·2-min read

Luke Evans is probably best known for portraying Gaston in Disney's 2017 live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and he is still living up to his character's reputation in the gym. The 42-year-old actor has upped the intensity of his workouts and transformed his body over the last year, losing weight and developing shredded six-pack abs which he shows off in thirst traps on Instagram at any given opportunity.

While he worked out consistently from home during lockdown, Evans is now back in the gym and making use of the weights to build muscle in his shoulders and biceps. His impressive gains are on full display in his most recent "Monday motivation" post on social media, in which he shows off the considerable pump he got from his arm day workout, flexing in an Arnold Schwarzenegger-esque classic bodybuilding pose.

"All pumped up... Deflated now," he joked.

He hasn't said as much, but it is likely that the actor's ripped physique and recent renewed dedication to his training are at least in part due to Gaston. Evans is expected to reprise the role in an upcoming prequel series for ABC entitled The Little Town, which will follow the adventures of the swole, swaggering Disney villain and his sidekick LeFou (played by Josh Gad) before the events of the movie. He has also been cast in the latest of Disney's live-action reboots, playing the Coachman in Pinocchio, although it's unclear just how jacked that character will be.
