Luke Cowan-Dickie and Anthony Watson have returned to the England squad as they prepare for this weekend’s Autumn Nations Cup meeting with Wales.

Eddie Jones has welcomed 35 players into camp for training on Tuesday, after which the squad will be trimmed to 25, with the remaining players returning to their clubs for the weekend’s Premiership action.

Cowan-Dickie has sat out all three of England’s fixtures so far in this autumn campaign due to a knee injury, but came off the bench for Exeter against Harlequins on Friday night.

Watson has not played since the win over Italy last month, but also returns to the squad.

Two backs, George Furbank and Jacob Umaga, picked up injuries playing for their clubs this weekend and are not part of the group.

In addition to the 23 that beat Ireland 18-7 on Saturday and the fit-again pair, England welcome Wasps’ Jack Willis, Exeter’s Harry Williams, Gloucester’s Ollie Thorley, Bath’s Charlie Ewels, Beno Obano and Joe Cokanasiga, and Northampton’s Lewis Ludlam, David Ribbans and Alex Mitchell.

Harlequins’ Joe Marler is included, but Joe Marchant is not. They both remained with the squad last week, but neither was quite fit to play.

England have won their last six matches and need just a single point against Wales to guarantee top spot in the Autumn Nations Cup Group A, which would see them quality for a final at Twickenham on December 6, likely against France.

The Autumn Nations Cup will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 13. Get in on the action by subscribing to Amazon Prime. It costs £7.99 a month, £79 a year or try a 30-day free trial.
