Love Island fans have a theory that Shannon Singh might not *actually* be off the show for good, after she was dumped from the villa yesterday [30 June.]

In a shock twist, our first Love Island 2021 contestant left the villa after just three episodes, following a recoupling. In the scene, Chloe was asked to choose a boy to recouple with, leaving one girl single.

What she didn't know is that recoupling with Aaron actually meant Shannon was dumped from the show, and told to leave the villa.

While some fans on Twitter were pretty gutted about the whole thing, others had a theory - that Shannon wasn't actually gone for good, but rather would be moved to a second villa (or saved for Casa Amor.)

"Bring Shannon back for Casa Amor or I’m throwing the whole show in the bin," one person wrote on Twitter, while another said, "Prayer circle that Shannon is brought back as a twist in Casa Amor. I refuse to believe that she's gone for good."

Others put, "They better put Shannon in a secret room to watch it all and bring her back in Casa Amor."

Amy Hart from Love Island 2019 also shared her theory, telling fans that if Shannon didn't pop up on social media soon, there might be a twist coming. "Shannon will get her phone back tomorrow," Amy said on Stories. "So if she’s not on her insta in the next few days she’s obvs in another villa."

In her exit interview, Shannon was asked how she felt about leaving. "I am a bit gutted," she revealed. "Do you know what, out of all the girls, I think it is fair it’s me because I didn’t have any emotional attachments to the guys, but all the girls had tiny little things [going on]."

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm tonight.
