Love Island's Lucinda Stratford has responded to claims she had a boyfriend back at home while she was in the villa.

During her time on the show, a report broke that claimed Lucinda was still in a relationship with Brighton footballer Aaron Connelly.

After being dumped from the villa, the 21-year-old has rubbished the rumours, insisting she's not dating anyone and was ready to find love on Love Island. "I am completely and utterly single," Lucinda told MailOnline.

"Never in a million years would I go on Love Island if I was in a relationship, and I'm sure if I had a boyfriend, he wouldn't be very happy with it either. We ended quite dramatically at the start of March but then we made friends, and we share a dog, it's a shared dog and he's been looking after it."

Lucinda continued, "He had no idea I was going on Love Island, and it was a shock to him. Apparently, he drove me to the airport, which is a complete and utter lie, I got a taxi. Hopefully, he's moved on and I definitely have. It was a funny rumour!"

The Islanders arrived on the show as a bombshell alongside Millie Court, before coupling up with Brad McClellard. He was later dumped when the couple were voted the least compatible, and Lucinda later coupled up with Aaron Francis.

But it wasn't to be - after the pair received the fewest public votes and were dumped from the villa, Lucinda revealed they are no longer together.
