Love Island's Amy Hart is smiling more than ever at the moment, as the 2019 Islander has given herself a brand new set of veneers.

Amy, who coupled up with Curtis Pritchard in last year's series before dramatically leaving the villa, unveiled the new look on Instagram, telling fans that she had undergone a cosmetic procedure to "widen" her smile.

In a video posted to Instagram Stories, Amy explained that she didn't just want veneers on her middle top teeth anymore, and so took a trip to the dentist to get rid of the "bright white mouth guard" look.

"I wanted to still keep the character," she said, before showing off her new smile. "I didn't want to look like I have a bright white mouth guard, and I wanted to widen my smile out," she added. "Thank you, Dr Richard."

In other Love Island 2019 news, Maura Higgins – the ex of Amy's ex, Curtis – was forced to clarify that she and fellow Islander Chris Taylor are not an item, after rumours began to swirl about their relationship.

After she insisted they are just friends, Chris went on to echo Maura's comments. "We don't see each other that way," he said when asked about the potential for romance.

"We're platonic, as they say. Platonic friends."
