Love Island's Amber speaks out over Ekin-Su feud after game playing accusations

One of the biggest rows so far on Love Island 2022 involved Amber Beckford and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, after each contestant accused the other of being fake and playing a game in the villa.

Fans of the show watched as Amber and Ekin-Su came to blows on the beanbags, after Jay Younger told his partner he thought Amber had a problem with her. "Jay’s said a comment that’s p****d me off," Ekin told Amber.

The 24-year-old replied, "I will say though, upstairs you’ve been really genuine and we’ve seen a vulnerable side to you. But over the last few days… I’ve thought, 'is she playing a game?'"

While things got quite heated, the pair made up in the dressing room the next day, admitting they both said things they regretted in the moment.

Now, Amber has opened up about their feud, following her dumping from the villa, explaining she actually has a lot of respect for the 27-year-old actor. Asked who she'll miss from the villa, Amber said, "All of them! It was bittersweet because I didn’t want Ikenna to leave but he left with me. The vibe and the dynamic we had in there just worked so well.

"Even though there was a sort of rift between me and Ekin-Su at one point, I feel like we had a good friendship. If anything, I think we both really respected each other and we were honest with each other about how we felt. Sometimes friendships flourish more when you’re honest with each other."

Fair enough. All's well that ends well, then.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm tonight.
