Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill has suggested that she's open to dating women, after hinting that she was attracted to women in a series of tweets.

Appearing on the red carpet at the National Television Awards on 9 September, Amber discussed the tweets made back in July, one of which saw the ex-Islander reposting a viral TikTok clip showing LGBTQ+ women revealing their 'feminine' and 'masculine' appearance changes.

Amber tweeted a series of heart eyes emojis along with the video, and fans responded by asking the reality star whether her post meant she was attracted to women.

One follower wrote, "Bestie I'm afraid to ask you this," alongside a series of fruit emojis and question marks - with the term "fruity" referring to members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Amber replied at the time by simply saying, "Sometimes," before expanding on her tweets at last week's NTAs.

When asked about the Twitter exchange, Amber explained in an interview with the Daily Star, "The fruit emojis mean the fruit emojis - what can I say."

"Some days I might be, some days I might not. A lot of people have asked me about that and that's all I'm going to comment," she continued.

Amber went on to share more details about her plans for the future, before revealing that her dating life is "non-existent".

Speaking about publishing her own romance novel, Amber explained, "The first couple of chapters have been written but it doesn't come out until summer next year."

When asked whether the book will be based on any of her own real-life experiences, she added, "No no no, no one wants to know about my dating life with all due respect. My dating life is non-existent."

We can't wait to read it!
